Dr. KJ Sveinsson

Dr. KJ was raised in Leduc and graduated from Leduc Composite High School.  KJ obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Alberta in 1996,  then attended Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon where he completed his Doctor of Chiropractic with highest honours in December 2000.     Dr. KJ has been practicing in Leduc since 2001.  He provides exceptional care to his patients using a variety of techniques including spinal adjusting and/or mobilization, myofascial release/trigger point therapy, Activator methods, as well as Gait Analysis and Custom Prescription Orthotics.  He has 17 years of clinical experience treating  sports injuries, motor vehicle accident patients and numerous musculoskeletal problems. He owns and operates Leduc Chiropractic Clinic with his wife.  Outside the office, KJ enjoys playing hockey and cheering on the Oilers, golfing, hunting, and watching his daughters play ringette and basketball.  

Dr. Leigh Sveinsson

Dr. Leigh was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1996 and her Bachelor of Education in 1998 from the University of Regina.   She attended Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon and completed the 4 year program in 3 years to become a Doctor of Chiropractic in December 2001.   After graduation, Dr. Leigh moved to Leduc to begin her practice.  She has 14 years of clinical experience after time off to have two daughters.  She owns and operates Leduc Chiropractic Clinic with her husband.  She also periodically volunteers as an examiner with the Canadian Chiropractic Examining Board.  Her patients span all age ranges including seniors, expectant mothers, and children.  Using spinal manipulation and joint mobilization, along with other techniques including Activator, Myofascial release and trigger point therapies, she provides effective evidence-based acute and maintenance care.  Outside of work, Leigh enjoys her family and their sporting activities, curling, golfing, weight lifting, scrapbooking, and travelling.

Dr. Lacina Barsalou

Dr. Lacina, graduated from the University of Alberta in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Developmental Biology. In 2013 she received her Doctor of Chiropractic from CMCC in Toronto with honours.  Lacina moved back to the Edmonton area to be closer to her family and friends. She has continued broadening her chiropractic skills obtaining certification in Active Release Technique (A.R.T. - Full Body and Complex Protocols), Activator Methods, Graston Therapy, Gait Analysis and Custom Orthotic Prescription. Dr. Lacina treats a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions and has worked with patients from 3 weeks to 94 years old, as well as athletes, and patients with complex clinical histories. She has experience managing sport, workplace and motor vehicle accident related injuries. When she is not in the clinic, Dr. Lacina spends her time reading, practicing yoga, running, singing, watching Netflix with her husband or cheering on the Blue Jays.
